Kevin Rose, of Diggnation was right about the Nano a few days before it came out. He was recently talking about the new iPhone. The iPhone has been anxiously awaited by many for several reasons. One of the main reasons is the OS X, or similar system that will be running in the small package. An Apple operating system has implications outside the phone industry. Many Mac users have PDAs or Pocket PCs running a mini Windows or Palm version. A mini Apple operating system will make many dreams come true. The operating system is the missing piece of the puzzle.
Rumors have already revealed that the iPhone will have 2 batteries, one for music and one for the phone (one charger, charges both). The iPhone will be small and come in a 4Gig an 8Gig size ($249 & $449). It will have flash memory and a slideout keyboard, and possibly a touch screen. The iPhone could be out as soon as January. All the major carriers should have it. That speculation has Apple’s stock rising. A writer at CNET thinks iPhone will fail. Personally I think that the iPhone is overdue, because highly designed phones are already in fierce competition. The hype that has been accumulating is about to break. If apple can deliver more than expected, the phone game will change forever. Especially if the operating system looks and feels like a Mac. The iPhone’s position as uniquely Apple is great. Let’s just hope the advertising does its magic once again. But please, no more silhouettes. What will it look like? Here's what some artist think.
