Geico Cavemen TV Show on ABC?

30 minutes could save Geico millions on their auto insurance ads. That’s because the “Cavemen” could be picked up for their own TV show. ABC has ordered 2 episodes for the initial pilot. It is not certain whether the show will actually be picked up for a full season yet. The Cavemen ads were produced by The Martin Agency, in Richmond, VA. The Martin Agency is most recently known for winning the big Wal-Mart account. Joe Lawson, the advertising copywriter who wrote the cavemen ads, is working on the pilot.

The show will be set in Atlanta and focus on the cavemen’s day to day life. I could see show materializing. People already know the characters. The scripts for the commercials were well written. I hope they can make it work. I’d watch it, or Tivo it.

Geico could really do a number on itself this way if the show gets picked up but is bad OR if it insists on running Geico ads during the broadcast. Too much of a good (or bad) thing...

Sure, the cavemen ads were sort of funny. I hate to say it though... Geico should be scared of the results. Seriously. As a vicious self-editor, I still think this idea sucks. I'm already sick of the cavemen ads. Now a TV show? C'mon. America is not that stupid.

The Geico Cavemen ads are hysterical! And, with all the reality show 'stuff' that is out there right now, I think "Cavemen" might be the levity that viewers are craving. I am personally sick of watching 'supposed' reality shows that are actually creatively edited together footage, created to fool the average American. I am sorry - but, maybe some people ARE that stupid. I am looking forward to seeing the "Cavemen" pilots...and will always be a fan of their commercials.

Hey! I think this is a great idea! I will totally watch it! I don't think it will survive for very long! But it's well worth the try!

There is no need to be negative about it or not like it before it is even on TV! I wonder why people are like that!? Confusing...

Anyways! I hope it gets put on TV soon! Can't wait!
